While cruising through the woods today I came across these tracks in the fresh snow.
It was plain to see that I had just jumped a pair of bees out of their beds.
Traces of honey on the snow confirmed my suspicions.
Pushing ahead I soon overtook my quarry.
Evidently Northern VT Honeybees yard up during the winter similar to Whitetail Deer. I found them much easier to track on the snow than on bare ground, which can be done but requires alot of patience.

How sweet it is! Very interesting. Will talk to you more about this experience soon.
Hey Bee Hunter
If you are looking for some extra bees come to Needville. I have some that found a way into my roof and it looks like I'm going to have to call Bee Busters to get rid of them.
Last year I spent $$ TO seal off the opening and treat the area but they are back!
I need to take some pictures when we get back from SLC.

I would have thought it was too cold for the bees to be active. Must be a sign that Spring is on the way.
You can hardly see the white bee boxes through the snow too. Hey honey look at this!
