This was an interesting week with the camera, its not every day you get to shoot a Water Buffalo! I got out early Saturday morning and was able to get the Heron and the Whitetail Deer.

Sunday Sampler

Up until now all of my postings have followed a theme, an afternoon jaunt on the Mountian Bike produced this eclectic mixture of images.

Isa 28:29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

Stately Sentinel's

We are fortunate to have Canada Geese migrate through our area in the spring and fall, lately a few have set up residence long enough to nest and rear their young.

Morning Glory

Getting up early has its rewards, for those of you who like to burn the midnight oil and sleep late this is what you could be missing.

Deer Diary

All but one of these photos were taken with Josh's camera on my walks around Pawnee Prarie near Wichitaw. It was mid November and the rut was in full swing, these nice Bucks showed up for about a two week period and then they were gone. I still have it in mind to get back out there for a visit during that time of year.

Moose Droppings

Here's the Beef! I have a ton of Moose pictures now and I like them all. People ask me how I can get so close to them? To borrow a Page from Jane Goodall http://www.wic.org/bio/jgoodall.htm you must live with them, act like them, smell like them, and then you will be accepted into their society and gain their confidence.

Looking Up

My Brother John returned to his native Vermont for a visit and remarked to me how beautiful the Green Mountians were, but was puzzled that he hadn't really noticed them as a kid growing up here. We decided that we must have spent alot of time looking down, probably at our shoelaces or at stuff we were going to kick. The older we get the more time we both spend looking up! Here are some good reasons to remember to always make it a practice to look up.

Psa 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct [my prayer] unto thee, and will look up.

Along Came A Spider

"Oh what a tangled web we weave,When first we practise to deceive!"

Webs make interesting photos and unlike some of my other subjects they don't try to run or fly away.I would at this time like to thank all the spiders whose hours of hard work made all this possible.

September Medley

Out for a bike ride today and was noticing alot of roadside flowers, Susan and I went for a short ride to record some of whats growing around here in mid September. We went to our field guide for identification if we got any wrong please leave a comment so that we can correct them.
